Sarah Spradau

Founder and Clinical Counsellor

B.Sc(Psych), Master of Counselling, Clinical Member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)

As a counsellor I celebrate the uniqueness and differences in every individual, and believe the approach to mental health should be holistic, tailored and collaborative. I am fully invested in every client I work with and understand the significance and courage it takes to seek help.

I support individuals of all ages including children, adolescents and adults, through a compassion-focused, neuro-affirming lens. My approach is client-centred and strengths-based, underpinned by Polyvagal Theory, with a focus on fostering safety, self-understanding, and lasting change.

I have a special interest and extensive experience in working with neurodivergent children and their families. Using a neuro-affirming approach, I create a respectful, empowering space where children feel understood and supported. As both a counsellor and a parent of neurodivergent children, I recognise the emotional challenges families face and offer guidance and advocacy, while holding space for the emotional realities of their journey.

With a background in the education system, I understand the complex dynamics that can affect wellbeing in school and family life. I’m passionate about helping children “find their brave” and supporting families as they navigate these systems with clarity and confidence.

I have learned that the people who choose therapy are brave and courageous. I have witnessed

the counselling journey from both sides of the couch and

know It is a path of humility, vulnerability and bravery that

has the potential to alter the course of a life.
